Sending 100 postcards is harder than I thought it would be. Here is number 5. It goes out to Jen S., teacher, naturalist, dancer and old friend who I wish lived next door to me so I could see her every day.
My name is Paul Greenspan. I set up this blog to accompany my "100 by 50" postcard project. It's a simple idea. I will send vintage postcards to 100 people who I like and admire by the time I turn 50 (in September 2009). Why? Well, everyone loves getting a hand-written postcard in the mail, right? And I can carry a stack of them with me as I travel, or go to work, and if I feel like establishing an old-fashioned connection with someone, well, I can just slap on a stamp, scribble a message and an address, drop it in the mail box and there you go!
