Its a clown theme for today's two cards.  Cheryl L. is a good friend who gives so much of herself to the children of Boston.  And she is the daughter of a very famous magician. (If I gave his name away you could easily figure out who she is, so I wont :))

Where has the summer gone?  Almost 8 weeks without sending any postcards puts me seriously behind schedule.  As I can't slow down the aging process I will have to increase the frequency of postcards in order to hit 100 by 50.

This souvenir of a great beach weekend on Martha's Vinyard with good friends Dave N. and Patricia L. was sent to Jeannie L.  Jeannie is an artist, actor, clown and source of inspiration and I am looking forward to volunteering in the hospitals with her again!

7 down, 93 to go

This one went out to Howie Z.: Old friend, Father, Met's fan, Deadhead, successful Litigator & Partner, Godfather to my son E..  I miss him and will always remember those open face sandwiches the day after Thanksgiving.  Oh, and the postcard is a new one I picked up at Reins Deli in Connecticut.

This one goes to an old friend running a flour mill in Indiana!

Howard L. is an old buddy from the peace corps days in rural Senegal (where his shaved head and wispy beard had him known far and wide as the Toubab Marabout).  He has built a wonderful life as miller, health educator, father and husband in one of those no doubt wonderful places we on the coasts just know as fly-over states.  I hope he writes back to me when he gets this postcard.

We trained together for the pc in Norman, OK so this postcard seemed particularly appropriate.

Here is number 5

Sending 100 postcards is harder than I thought it would be.  Here is number 5.  It goes out to Jen S., teacher, naturalist, dancer and old friend who I wish lived next door to me so I could see her every day.

2 more postcards

Sent 2 more postcards before leaving for New Milford for a family party. Monsieur & Madam DeGaul went to BW, and the frenetic streetscape went to David S.  Oh, and I bought a new one at Rien's New York Deli (at exit 65 off I-84 in Connecticut, best Deli between NY and Boston)
